Launch Control

Launch Control

Launch Control works using an electronic accelerator and a computer program. The software controls acceleration according to engine characteristics to ensure the vehicle accelerates smoothly and as fast as possible, preventing drive wheels from spinning, engine failure due to over-revving, and clutch and gearbox problems. In race cars, this feature can only be used at the start of the race when the car is stationary. After the vehicle runs at a certain speed, the software is disabled.
Intended use Race drivers have only a very short time to achieve competitive acceleration at the start of a race. The high power transmission to the transmission and driven wheels is not easily mastered by even the most skilled drivers.
